Δύο χρόνια εντατικής προετοιμασίας. Εθελοντές στην υποστήριξη της
πολιτισμικής μας κληρονομιάς. Καθάρισαν, επισκεύασαν, ασβέστωσαν,
έβαψαν, χρωμάτισαν, έπλεξαν, κέντησαν, έπεισαν τον κόσμο να διατηρήσει
κι όχι να πετάξει αντικείμενα της καθημερινής ζωής των παππούδων.
Καππαδόκες, περήφανοι άνθρωποι, κάθε κεντίδι και μια προσευχή. Οι
καρποί της γης είναι καρποί σκληρής δουλειάς. Κι όσο περισσότερο
πιστεύουν σε μια ιδέα τόσο περισσότερο τα χέρια ζυμώνουν την αλήθεια
της.
Έτσι, το ”Σπίτι του Εποικισμού” στο Πλατύ Ημαθίας σήμερα αποτελεί
έναν χώρο σπουδής της λαϊκής παράδοσης, έναν χώρο, όπου κάθε σχολείο
θα αγγίξει τις σελίδες της ιστορίας.

Ιδιαίτερη χαρά, η υποδοχή των ευρωπαίων εταίρων στο ”Σπίτι του
Εποικισμού”. Η ξενάγηση από τα μέλη του Συλλόγου ”Ο Βαρασός”
εξαιρετικά συγκινητική, μνήμες, εικόνες και μυρωδιές ξύπνησαν από μια
παιδική ηλικία που δεν την κέρδισε το παρελθόν. Οι φίλοι μας από τη
Σικελία μοιράστηκαν τα ίδια συναισθήματα ”σαν το σπίτι που μεγάλωσα,
το σπίτι της γιαγιάς μου” είπε η Carla Campo.
Και το νερό έχει μνήμη και προσφέρεται, όπως το παραδοσιακό ποτό ρόδι,
όπως τα γλυκά και οι πίτες που χέρια άξια και ψυχές ακούραστες με
μοναδικό τρόπο προσφέρουν.
Ευχαριστώ τον καθένα ξεχωριστά για την υποστήριξη των δράσεων του
Δημοτικού Σχολείου Πλατέος Ημαθίας. Η εθελοντική δράση σας παιδεύει
και διδάσκει.

Two years of intensive preparation. Volunteers in support of our
cultural heritage. They cleaned, repaired, whitewashed, painted,
knitted, embroidered, persuaded people to preserve rather than throw
away objects of their grandparents’ daily lives. Cappadocians are
proud people, every needlework and a prayer. The fruits of the land
are the fruits of hard work.
And the more they believe in an idea, the more their hands knead it’s
truth. Today the “Spiti tou Epikismou” in Platy Imathias is a place of
study of folk tradition, a place where every school will touch the
pages of history.
It is a great pleasure to welcome the european partners to the “Spiti
tou Epikismou”. The guided tour by the members of the “Barasos”
Association is extremely special, memories, images and smells woke up
from a childhood that didn’t win the past. Our friends from Sicily
shared the same feelings ” like the house I grew up in, my
grandmother’s house, ” Carla Campo, said.
And the water has a memory and is offered, like the traditional
pomegranate drink, like the sweets and pies that deserved by hands and
tireless souls with unique offering.
I thank every one of you for supporting the actions of Dimotiko
Scholeio Plateos. Voluntary actions educate and teache us.
